Among dozens of companies presenting their latest technologies at Cann10 , the international medical cannabis conference that took place in Tel-Aviv last month, there was one artistic exhibit that attracted the attention of all visitors.

Roy Znaty, a local artist, spent more than 6 hours carefully “painting” a giant portrait in tribute to Prof. Raphael Mechoulam, the scientist from Jerusalem’s Hebrew University who was first to isolate the THC molecule in 1964.

Roy did not use paint for this masterpiece. He “drew” it with Wingman , a unique herbal blend developed in Israel especially to smoke with cannabis.

The fact that 85% of Israeli medical cannabis patients consume their cannabis with tobacco, led Eybna Technologies , an Israeli company which specializes in cannabis terpene R&D, to develop Wingman, a non addictive mixer for cannabis, and the world s first terpene-infused enhancing blend.

Prof. Mechoulam s studies were the first to describe a possible synergistic effect between cannabinoids, terpenes and other compunds found in cannabis and their ability to enhance the efficacy of cannabis. These interesting findings provided the basis of Wingman’s 3 year R&D process, conducted by a team of chemists, herbalists and cannabis academic researchers together with a test group of 250 medical patients, who assisted in creating the accurate formulation to fit the market s taste preferences.

Mechoulam, world-renowned and one of the most appreciated scientists in the international medical cannabis industry, giggled when signing the portrait made in his honor and said he looks much younger in herbs.

The unique terpene infused blend of nicotine-free, non-addictive and fine tasting herbs is already highly adopted by Israeli medical patients and will soon be distributed worldwide.

The artistic work is intended to be sold at an auction, and all profits will be donated to medical cannabis clinical research.
